We can't afford my wedding dress on our budget but my fiance refuses to let me pay for it?

If you can't work things out before the wedding what chance are you going to have after. I agree with your fiance, �4,000 for a dress you can only wear once is rather extravagant. Marriage is about compromise, and if you can't do it with the wedding then are you sure getting married is a good idea?
