Is putting detergent in the dryer bad? (for clothes or dryer)?

So I'm pulling an all-nighter for my calc exam in the morning and decided to make my study break a little more efficient by starting a batch of laundry. Unfortunately having my mind more on calc than laundry I mistakenly put my dirty clothes and detergent in the dryer. I didn't realize till I went down to change the load over and realized what i had done, so i threw them in the washer and ran back to my dorm and here we are.. please tell me I didn't ruin my clothes!!
