Orange light, i don't understand what it could be... any suggestions?

I apologize if this is over-asked/typical/completely absurd or just retarded, but ill go from the top. me and my friend jack were walking home(it was night time), and i looked up... and there was a wierd light/glowing orbish looking thing in the sky, but i shrugged it of and went home. when i got home i turned on the radio and something came on, it some kind of 'call-in part of the show' and a man phoned up, and said he saw a light too, and described it just as we saw it. then another man said he spotted it aswell. then i started to think, i know everything in life has a logical explanation... but finding one for this glow was becoming increasingly more difficult. and, just tonight, i saw the same glow... but there were three of them in a triangular formation. i am, in no way, suggesting that its a ufo... i know how frowned upon 'alledged alien sightings' are in our modern society but.... any ideas?
